Job Description: The role of Financial Consultant involves leading the re-statement of historic revenue and deferred revenue due to a change in revenue recognition policy for a PE-backed global investment accounting and transfer agency. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension, offering fully remote working arrangements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in the SaaS or tech sector, particularly with subscription-based revenue models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the re-statement of historic revenue and deferred revenue, following a recent change in revenue recognition policy.
• Assist in the implementation of financial controls and processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operational teams on transactional flows and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Work closely with external advisors or auditors.
• Provide input on process improvement and best practice implementation.

Skills Required:

• ACA-qualified with an audit background.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, revenue recognition).
• Comfortable working in an evolving environment; able to bring order and clarity to chaos.
• Previous SaaS or tech sector experience – particularly with subscription-based revenue models.
