The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with Venture Capital backed post Series A SaaS scale-up to secure them an Interim Head of Finance for an initial 4-month contract with the possibility of going permanent thereafter. Having received funding from world renowned VC funds, they are focused on refining their software to make it as user friendly as possible.

Our client currently has a remote first working model and have team members spread across the UK and Europe. They are therefore looking for someone who is comfortable working in a remote capacity first but is open to commuting to London occasionally to meet the team. The Role

They require an exceptional finance professional who is comfortable working independently and prepared to roll up their sleeves. This role reports directly into the co-founders and will revolve around setting up the KPI reporting suite along with budgeting and forecasting. The successful candidate will also require excellent communication skills to partner across the business and with the outsourced bookkeeping to ensure managements accounts are completely accurately and in a timely manner. Experience within a B2C SaaS is preferred but not essential and candidates with B2B experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Partner across the business offering a financial perspective to assist with strategic decision making.
• Develop KPI reporting suite.
• Liaise with outsourced bookkeeping and ensure management accounts are correct.
• Develop board pack and investor reporting.
• Assess the finance function and make suggestions on which areas need to be insourced.
• Be the right-hand person to the founders.
• Assist with Ad-hoc duties across the business.

Essential Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience as a number one or two in finance with a VC Backed Start-Up
• Experience developing a KPI dashboard from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting models, budgeting, and data analysis.
• Previous Start-Up experience.
• A passion for Tech.

Bonus Experience

• Previous experience in a B2C SaaS Start-up - between Seed and Series B stage ideally.

Day Rate: 475- 550/day (Outside IR35)
