Internal Auditor | Public Sector | Remote Working

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable public sector organisation to recruit an Interim Auditor on an initial 3 month basis. This role offers the opportunity for fully remote working, and office working can also be accommodated (North West).

• The role plays a key role in the delivery of the organisation’s audit plan, and includes;


• Conducting risk-based audits of the organisation, ensuring compliance with internal regulations and control processes


• Identifying improvements and making recommendations for control efficiencies


• Preparing and presenting audit reports and findings to Senior Management and Governance Committees


• Conducting investigations of suspected fraud and irregularities in accordance with Senior Management


• Building effective internal relationships across the organisation

The person;

• Internal audit experience, preferably within the Public Sector / Education or comparable heavily regulated environments


• Understanding of a risk-based audit approach
