Mechanical Engineer Remote Operator Contract 12 Months

Interviews 18th April - 1st May

Start Date June 2023


  • Provide discipline technical expertise to operational and delivery teams
  • Ensure new assets or modifications to existing assets are in compliance with the company s standards
  • Develop discipline internal engineering standards, procedures, best practice and strategies
  • Influence external standards to align with the company s forward agenda
  • Provide engineering knowledge to support key recommendations relating to strategic engineering decision making
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is proactively met
  • Assess asset risks and the effectiveness of controls and mitigations
  • Guide developing engineers, providing technical mentoring and management


Essential requirements:

  • Extensive engineering experience working within a gas transmission, distribution, oil and gas, process or petrochemical environment
  • Able to interpret engineering line diagrams (ELDs), pressure system drawings (PSDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Uses a variety of sources of information (own knowledge, document libraries, standards, surveys etc) to make sound engineering judgements to problems
