Microsoft Service Engineer - DV Cleared - Corsham - 500 a day
You will join a global IT consultancy, who are bringing digital transformation to the MoD. They are looking for a skilled Microsoft Service Engineer to support the implementation of Private Cloud services, specifically Microsoft Azure Stack Hub (MASH). This contract role, based in Corsham, requires a dedicated professional with expertise in cloud infrastructure and IT service management.
Office / WFH:
You will need to attend site 5 days a week. There is no remote working
Clearance:
You will hold current, active DV Clearance
Responsibilities:
- Support the Azure Stack Hub (MASH) environment
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance
- Conduct capacity management, network management, backup, health and security monitoring, and patching/updates
- Resolve incidents and problems promptly
- Contribute to ongoing support and development of the cloud infrastructure
Requirements:
- ITIL-based service management experience
- Proficiency in MS SCOM and Azure solutions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Customer-facing experience in incident and problem resolution
- Knowledge of UK Government Security Classifications
- Familiarity with Public and Private Cloud Concepts (BGP, NSG, SDN)
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA & Confluence, Windows Defender, backup solutions, SharePoint/MOSS, and Firewall management
