Our financial sector client is urgently recruiting a Power BI Developer. Working for the Corporate Performance Team, you'll play a critical role in developing reporting solutions for their stakeholders using data from a range of services, both internal and external. This role will require strong Datamodelling and data visualisation skills and you will be required to work closely with stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are understood.

Key Responsibilities
* Requirements engineering - validate business requirements to ensure they are understood and provide effective challenge where they are not.
* Data transformation - transform raw data received predominately through spreadsheets in csv file format into rich datasets for Datamodelling.
* Datamodelling - design and develop data models to support report building and visualisation needs.
* Data visualisation - build and publish compelling reporting for stakeholders that meet their reporting needs.
* Reporting documentation - maintain key documentation that colleagues can reference for support with reporting that you have developed.
* Working closely with our data engineers to understand and optimise the efficient flow and quality of data.

Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as an end-to-end Power BI developer
* Knowledge of Power Query and DAX modelling languages
* Experience with data integration and ETL/ELT processes
* Knowledge of SQL and data querying
* Excellent data visualisation and report design skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proven experience of data quality management
* Experience in working with financial data and assessing value for money.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
