Role: Principal Accountant

Type: Part Time - 9 months Interim

Salary: 450 to 600 per day

Fully Remote

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Principal Accountant for our Local Authority client.

The post holder will lead, manage and provide effective professional financial support. You will introduce and develop a strategic capital accounting practices and prepare appropriate management information.

Key responsibilities for the Principal Accountant are;

• Providing strategic financial management advice and support to ensure the capital objectives are achieved
• Supporting the Head of Capital and Technical with capital management of the organisation
• Working with the Head of Services on a range of capital projects
• Provide advice on financial and capital aspects of procurement processes and tenders
• Leading on the development, design and implementation of capital business processes
• Providing Capital financial advise and support
• Defining the financial framework

The Ideal candidate for the Principal Accountant will have;

• Qualified Accountant
• Local Authority experience
• Extensive experience in Capital
• Ability to provide leadership and advice to the team on accounts
• Stakeholder Management
