Sellick Partnership are seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer to join a large local authority in South Wales. The Prosecutions Lawyer will join a small and friendly team within the local authority, on a locum basis for an initial period of 3-6 months.

The client is seeking a candidate with previous prosecutions experience, ideally gained within a public sector organisation, to start with them at short notice.

The workload will include a mixed bag of prosecutions, including:

  • Environmental health
  • Trading Standards
  • Public Protection matters

This roles does involve advocacy and the successful candidate will need to attend court when required.

The position will be on a full-time basis for an initial period of 3-6 months although there is a possibility of this to be extended beyond that. You will be required to attend court hearings in person, however outside of this you will be able to work remotely.
