Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Policy Development
We seek a dynamic and experienced stakeholder engagement manager to join the stakeholder engagement team. This team is crucial to strengthening the company's content policies by integrating global knowledge and feedback into the policy development process. We build relationships with NGOs, academics, and other thought leaders, engaging with a diverse spectrum of civil society worldwide, guided by core principles of inclusivity, expertise, and transparency.
The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner, adept at prioritising, well-organised, skilled at navigating ambiguity, and capable of simultaneously managing multiple tasks and timelines. They should have an understanding of content policy issues. Excellent writing, communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with policy colleagues and consistently deliver high-quality work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with Internet-related advocacy groups, academics, think tanks, and governmental and non-governmental organisations regarding the company's community standards, advertising policies, and related content policies.
- Co-create strategies to engage with advocacy groups, academics, think tanks, and governmental and non-governmental organizations about our content policies, including our community standards, advertising policies, and product policies.
- Identify key stakeholders and strategic opportunities for external engagement concerning these policies.
- Collaborate with other members of the content policy team to improve our policies based on external expertise and input.
- Assist in building and maintaining external relationships in key content policy areas and seek opportunities to develop collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.
- Provide support and facilitate learning opportunities and collaborations with external experts.
- Provide programmatic and project management support for relevant stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in public policy, technology, human rights, or a similar field.
- Bachelor's Degree in public policy, security studies, political science, international relations, law, business, human rights, tech policy, information sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with issues at the intersection of human rights and policy.
- Experience working with industry, governmental, or non-governmental organisations relating to policy issues.
- Experience prioritising multiple simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience in policy analysis and drafting.
- Experience with project management.
- Effective organisational skills across multiple projects.
- Fluency in French (written and verbal) is preferred.
