Job Description: The Quality Assurer role is a fixed-term contract position focused on ensuring assessment quality and compliance within the public sector. The position involves guiding End Point Assessors and conducting quality assurance activities to uphold standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance sampling activities in line with the organisation's quality strategy.

  • Support with appeals and investigations as required.
  • Gather structured, inclusive feedback from apprentices and employers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain oversight of sector quality through accurate management of the Sector Quality Tracker.
  • Provide guidance to EPAs on assessment methodology and ensure compliance with quality assurance frameworks.
  • Monitor and manage automated QA systems to maintain appropriate sampling rates based on EPA performance status (RAG rated).

Skills Required:

  • Relevant assessing qualification (e.g., CAVA).
  • Internal Quality Assurer qualification (e.g., IQA).
  • Appropriate sector-specific occupational qualifications.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Proven experience working under pressure to targets and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Previous QA experience within work-based learning or the education sector.
