p>Role: Senior Azure Data Engineer
Contract: 9-month FTC, Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Location: Home-based (UK only) with potential travel within the UK
The CPS Group are seeking a skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform for one of our key global clients.
Responsibilities:
* Architect and develop enterprise-grade data pipelines and storage solutions
* Implement seamless data integration processes
* Provision, ingest, and transform data for accuracy and consistency
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
* Lead QA activities to ensure data solution integrity
* Establish best practices for reusable code and frameworks
* Ensure data quality, security, and adherence to governance standards
* Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer with 5+ years of industry experience
* In-depth knowledge of modern data architecture concepts and best practices
* Expert-level proficiency in Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory
* Strong understanding of Azure DevOps processes (including CI/CD)
* Proficient in programming languages like Python and SQL/T-SQL
* Proven ability to lead and manage small and large data engineering teams
