Senior Embedded C Engineer

A majority remote (3 – 4 days+ per week from home) and Essex based high pay, OUTSIDE IR35 initial 6-month contract opportunity for an Embedded C Engineer to work with them on a defined package of work completing Embedded C Software test onto an NXP Micro as a contribution to the final stage of the life cycle development which is a clearly defined piece of work. As the client are willing to pay a developer rate (and even a rate above this) for this task it could suit an Embedded C Developer who has the ability to do this and is happy to complete it on a majority home working OUTSIDE IR35 Basis for the 6-month duration.

Embedded C Engineer Skills required 

• Experienced knowledge of Embedded C code including testing embedded C software on a variety of processors (ideally TI C2000/ NXP)

• Familiar with embedded software test tools (TESSY, VectorCAST, other tools are also fine as this is not yet defined)

• Experienced in defining tests, documenting tests, executing tests, unit testing

• Familiar with debugging or writing test cases 

Embedded C Engineer Skills Desirable

• Familiar with configuration management tools (e.g. SVN/GIT)

• Knowledge of working in a regulated environment, for example IEC 62304/ ISO 26262 / DO-178 B/C / ISO Standards 

• MIL/SIL/PIL Testing methods
