This role is primarily home based however, there will still be regular travel required (roughly once per month) to the National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate, East Sussex, please bear this in mind when applying.

The Finance team is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Charity and plays a vital role in the organisation s success by ensuring sound financial management and supporting the charity s mission of helping cats in need. With responsibility for key tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting and analysis, the Management Accountants team works closely with other departments to ensure that financial goals are met and to provide support for decision making processes.
Responsibilities of our Senior Management Accountant:
As our Senior Management Accountant you will be responsible for the provision and development of management reporting as well as providing financial information and expertise to assist in the charity s decision making and plans. You will facilitate and manage the budget process, produce monthly management accounts and reports, provide a management accounting service to all areas of the charity as well as assisting the Head of Finance and providing leadership and support to the Management Accountant team.
What we re looking for in our Senior Management Accountant:
- CCAB qualified accountant
- Experience working with accounting software and systems
- Experience working in a Senior Management Accountant role in a large organisation (250+ employees)
- Experience working with budget holders as well as providing support and advice around financial management issues and budgetary guidance
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly in Excel
- Excellent leadership, people management, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
