Lorien is currently recruiting a Supplier Relationship Manager for one of its client in the life and pensions industry. You will be joining their Technology Supplier Relationship team to ensure ongoing excellent performance, value and management of key suppliers across the Group through the development, implementation, and management of a robust Supplier Relationship Management framework and supporting procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively manage key technology suppliers and others as required, to ensure excellent sustained performance levels and best value for money are achieved and all risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Take action to address identified risks and issues in relation to supplier performance in a timely manner and take action to address identified shortfalls in supplier performance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to establish and where appropriate, vary the contract, including changes to price, terms and conditions and service agreements.
  • Ensure all negotiated contract terms are documented and that they meet the requirements - technically, financially and legally.
  • Build positive and collaborative working relationships to allow successful business partnering and be seen as a 'Trusted Advisor'.
  • Advise the business on efficient and effective commercial strategies and provide recommendations on how supplier performance can be improved.
  • Produce management information in relation to performance of key suppliers across the Group.
  • Ensure a robust audit trail is in place for all key documentation in compliance with department best practice and group policies.
  • Work within the boundaries of group wide policies, including the Third Party Management Framework Policy.
  • Assist and support the development and maintenance of policies, processes, procedures and tools.
