Location: Reading & Remote

Flint UK is looking for a skilled and experienced Kubernetes Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Kubernetes and related technologies, with expertise in proprietary distributions (such as OpenShift, Rancher), Community Version, and other relevant platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in Kubernetes-related projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient Kubernetes solutions.
  • Work on the integration of Kubernetes with other cloud-native technologies and tools.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of containerization strategies and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Kubernetes and related technologies.
  • Provide guidance on Kubernetes-related security practices and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Kubernetes Expert, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Strong understanding of containerization concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in more than one distribution of Kubernetes management platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Docker, container registries, and container orchestration tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security principles in Kubernetes environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Kubernetes or related technologies.
  • Experience with Helm, Istio, and other Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions in Kubernetes environments.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
