ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:
r10 requires a Test Engineer to assist our client, a leading service provider, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of systems changes to software and processes within the intricate landscape of the London Market. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to be at the forefront, assisting customers in testing their software and/or processes, ensuring they are robust and ready for deployment in a live setting.
ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES:
- Deliver Customer Testing requests with a robust approach, emphasizing structure, control, consistency, quality, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate with customers, associated third parties, business delivery teams, and IT delivery teams to confirm scope and timelines for each testing request.
- Scope and plan test execution on behalf of customers, understanding business requirements and success criteria to map them into effective Test Scripts.
- Utilise automation to improve testing efficiency.
- Raise and track defects identified in tests or in customer-executed tests.
- Work with Technical Test engineers, architects, and developers to recreate defects and perform root cause analysis.
- Contribute to tracking risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Provide regular reports on progress for test execution and environment registration activities.
- Ensure test environments are available and registrations are complete in preparation for go-live.
- Prepare Test reports for customers and respond to inquiries on the status of test execution.
- Coordinate customer test execution to enable end-to-end tests by multiple parties.
- Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement.
YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILL-SET:
- Experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Experience coordinating work against schedules, providing guidance, and direction as needed.
- Direct experience working with clients, understanding validation requirements, and providing prompt responses.
- Work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational, personal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with query, configuration management, and defect tracking tools used by the testing team.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to team members, customers, management, and support personnel.
- Ability to complete assigned responsibilities independently, on time, and within a fixed budget, with moderate technical support.
