Job Description: As a Site Engineer on the HS2 project, you will play a crucial role in delivering key sections of the infrastructure. Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer on HS2, you will be instrumental in the successful delivery of critical sections of the project. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Setting out and Surveying: Accurately setting out works according to drawings and specifications, utilising modern surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, laser levels).
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest quality standards, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Technical Compliance: Verifying that construction activities comply with design specifications, technical drawings, and relevant standards.
  • Health and Safety: Promoting and enforcing a strong health and safety culture on site, ensuring all activities are undertaken safely and in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining comprehensive site records, including diaries, progress reports, quality checks, and as-built drawings.
  • Subcontractor Management: Overseeing and coordinating the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to programme and quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identifying and resolving technical issues and clashes on site, collaborating with design teams and other stakeholders.
  • Material Control: Assisting with the ordering, checking, and management of site materials to prevent delays and waste.
