We are currently recruiting for a Senior Actuary Analyst with Pricing and Treasury experience to join one of our Insurance Clients on a 6 month initial contract.

Please note this role is Inside IR35, Hybrid working with 2 days a week in London.

You will work with the team to drive actuarial pricing support to improve business performance, growth and meeting operational goals. You will assist the pricing head in providing consultation to senior managers and other groups on actuarial, underwriting, financial and strategic matters.

Pricing/Rating

• Individual account pricing and performance monitoring
• Support and development of underwriting rating tools
• Provision and improvement a monthly renewal rate monitoring and rate adequacy information
• Portfolio profitability analysis for new business opportunities
• Supporting both local and global group pricing standards, Analytics and new product initiatives

Reporting Lines and Management Responsibilities

• Responsible for mentoring and coaching part-qualified Actuarial Analyst and a qualified actuary who support aspects of the role.

Experience Required:

• Qualified Actuary (Ideally from three years post qualification upwards)
• Minimum of five years relevant work experience in the general insurance, reinsurance or consultancy field
• Requires educational attainments: 2.1 in the numerate/scientific degree
• Requires knowledge of MS Excel (essential), VBA, MS Access, SQL
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills, communicating with a range of internal and external clients of varying experience, expertise and appreciation of actuarial techniques.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills required.
