A fast growing medical technology company are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join their team on a contract basis. Your role will be to enable a new rate of growth, by developing their back end systems to scale with new data.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain APIs that gather billions of data points
• Ensure the architecture and core backend systems operate to their best reliability and efficiency
• Ensure services are consistently available to our customers
• Manage and optimise databases. This involves over 5 TB's of data to create functional table structures, indexes and optimised queries
• Ensuring software is developed to compliance standards

Essential skills required:

• Software Architecture experience
• Backend infrastructure experience
• C++/C
• AWS
• Python
• Database experience

Desirable skills:

• Having been in a position of responsibility for core systems to work effectively
  • Lead development of the entire architecture
  • Large scale databases and systems
• Algorithms experience

The start date for ASAP. The initial contract length is for 12 months. The role will require 2 days onsite per week (there is some flexibility here) and the rest of the role can be done remotely. The role is based in the centre of London. The rate is up to 75 per hour and the role is Outside IR35.
