The role:

Cititec Talent has partnered with a global energy trading firm in the search for a Senior Business Analyst who has experience enhancing/developing ETRM applications. In this role, you ll be part of a team that delivers the analysis and design of Risk and Valuation systems, working closely with development teams to build a new Valuation application while collecting and analysing energy trading business requirements and delivering business-critical solutions.

What you ll do:

• Take a hands-on role in the analysis of business processes and design of Risk and Valuation systems
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with business stakeholders
• Undertake analysis work to ensure design principles are adhered to and requirements are fulfilled wherever possible
• Ensure technical requirements are clear, aligned, testable, accurate, and maintained
• Complete deliverables promptly and to the appropriate level of quality so the delivered solutions are fit for purpose, can be efficiently supported and the impact of future change requests can be assessed
• Follow all change control procedures and put in place full version control and configuration management to ensure that the production service is not compromised

Requirements:

• Strong BA experience in developing enterprise applications (ideally ETRM systems)
• Experience working as a Business Analyst within banking, financial services or commodity trading
• To be able to write clear and concise technical requirements and to ensure they are testable, accurate and maintained
• Able to perform various phases of SDLC, including analysis, coding, review, testing, documentation, implementation and release management
• Must have a strong technical background or relevant development experience, with proficiency in SQL
• Experience in market data analysis, risk, valuation or PnL
