About the Project:
Engaged by Morson Projects, you will be supporting our client, who is a major player in the global nuclear power generation industry. Operating on a UK nuclear licensed site, they specialise in safe, cost effective and reliable uranium enrichment services.
About the Role:
Supporting the Morson Project Manager in delivering a project for the client by improving the configuration baseline for its current production and infrastructure asset base.
Undertaking a variety of system engineering functions and deliverables, to provide accurate and quality data and information sets. As a result, giving confidence in underpinning the decision making needed to extend the lifecycle requirements of existing site facilities and infrastructure, to meet the organisations future business plans.
Key Accountabilities:
To Support:
A detailed baseline configuration review of existing plant systems which will include:
Reviewing and comparing System Description documentation, P&IDs, Control and Logic Specifications, Asset Hierarchy, Bills of Materials, and other engineering documents and drawings, as required, and updating to agreed standards
Undertaking plant walkdowns and red-lining documents to correct and verify system documentation described above.
Reviewing and confirming system status against original basis of design.
Facilitating Reliability Centred Maintenance Reviews (RCM) / FMEA studies.
Undertaking a review of existing plant maintenance regimes for through lifecycle requirements.
Providing guidance and mentoring to other members of the delivery team.
Supporting the project PM in monitoring and reporting on programme KPIs and Milestones.
Attending regular client meetings to feedback progress, issues and opportunities
Vocational Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline i.e. Chemical or Process Engineering
Member or Associate Member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status (Preferred).
Essential Experience:
Good understanding of Engineering design processes in a heavily regulated industry.
Experience of working on a Nuclear Licenced site or, working on a significant COMAH site.
Minimum 5 years experience within a heavily regulated industry.
Understanding and application of up to date industrial practices related to discipline-specific engineering, including safety through design.
Working knowledge of other Engineering disciplines, technologies, plant systems and processes.
Working knowledge of international and UK standards relating to engineering and design, specifically engineering within the nuclear industry.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft and Autodesk applications, Document Management systems and ERP systems (SAP is in current use with the client).
Capable of producing high quality technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications and project documentation.
Ability to maintain and develop own technical knowledge to ensure the best, cost effective and safe solutions are proposed and implemented.
Ability to assess problems, feasibility and develop practical solutions.
Good communication, reporting and presentation skills.
