Senior Procurement Manager

Long Term Contract - Hybrid - Multiple Projects - Transmission.

About The Company:

This company is one of the largest TSO's who operate globally, also being a leader developer in wind hosting over 1000+ turbines and have the capacity to produce 2000MW. They are pioneering the way to a greener environment and having a large pipeline for the near future.

Responsibilities:

• Looking after a pipeline of 5-10 years worth of projects.
• Taking the leads to tender, through to contract award.
• Putting the contracts through a number of stage gates.
• Making sure you get proposals back from the contractors and benchmarking those, doing risk management on them and verifying best where it fits.
• This role will include supplier engagement, then making sure you are in control of the supplier relationships.
• Negotiation of high value and complex contracts and associated cost and commercial management.
• Managing everything from purchasing and supply chain activities, collaborating with the business to support the development, construction of significant projects, systems and assets.
• You will be taking the lead and supporting and providing knowledge to the commercial aspects of contract negotiations, managing commercial and contractual activities pre-contract and if necessary post contract gaining the best value.

Requirements:

• Procurement experience in engineering and construction is a must.
• Must have experience in renewable energy.
• Must have previous experience in strategy development, procurement processes & evaluating supplier bids.
• EPC contracting.
• NEC contracts (NEC4 or 3).

Logistics:

• Working remote, but must be able to travel to site/office when needed.
• This is a contract position.
• Start date is immediate, will wait 3 weeks for exceptional profiles.
