This public sector client is undertaking a major transformation project, improving infrastructure and underpinning technology to improve access to services for the public. Due to the expansion of their services, an experienced Product Manager is required

About the position

As the Senior Product Owner. you will be assigned to specific development teams & be accountable and responsible for ensuring that there is a steady flow of user stories ready so that the teams can work at a constant rate.

You will ensure backlogs are constantly well maintained, prioritised, and give full coverage of the requirements, acting as an effective brigge between the dev team and the business stakeholders should any technical issues or ambiguities arise.

You will identify, understand and define dependencies and integration points between the different areas, ensuring that these are effectively refined and agreed between the teams, efficiently scheduled in the team s pipeline for optimal delivery End-to-End, and are managed through delivery effectively.

You will be:

• Developing strong, effective backlogs in an agile environment, including gathering requirements, developing effective user stories, and gathering feedback from stakeholders to incorporate into the backlog for future development
• Identifying and flag risks to delivery, determine any suitable mitigations, assess the delivery impact to delivery and timelines, and escalate rapidly as required.
• Mentoring and supporting other Product Owners and team members, enabling effective product knowledge transfer and support onboarding of new team members

About you

• Experience working on major products, with users in the region of 100,000+ per day
• Strong understanding of Azure, specifically Functions, Storage, Service Bus, API Management and Data handling
• Experience in building an auditable data service that allows validations, sanitisation and revisions
• Solid understanding of Agile processes, and ability to work with mixed skill development teams
• An understanding of PCI compliance would be advantageous
