Senior Product Owner

12 Month contract

Inside IR35 - 550 per day

East London location

2 days per week onsite

The Senior Product Owner Team will be made up of individual Senior Product Owners who will each be assigned to specific areas of the Product to deliver against the requirements. Each Senior Product Owner will be accountable and responsible for understanding the requirements, business needs, and operational context from stakeholders and for collating, analysing, prioritising, and translating these business requirements into technical requirements and units of work (user stories) that are implementable by Scrum Agile development teams for their assigned area of the product.

The Senior Product Owners will be responsible for ensuring that the development work in their Product Area is effectively prepared, scheduled and managed to meet the overall Product Goals and deadlines set by the Product Owner Lead. You will also have additional responsibilities for ensuring that your Product Area scope is effectively controlled to meet the defined MVP, the product strategy as set by the Product Owner Lead, and the project deadlines, ensuring that they can deliver the full agreed scope of their Product Area by the development complete deadline.

The ideal candidate should have the following key knowledge & skills:

• Strong technical experience as a Product Owner.


• Experience of implementing systems using Azure technologies (including but not limited to: - Functions, Storage, Service Bus etc);


• PCI compliant payment solutions


• Experience of implementing systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 core functions (including but not limited to: - case management, workflow, correspondence, RBAC etc) and strategies for integrating bespoke data sources into Microsoft Dynamics CRM (read and write)


• Experience of implementing customer-facing websites Azure and React and/or native app development.


• Experience in complex back-office systems


• Senior Product Owner experience of at least 3 years gained while working on complex and challenging multi-million technology programmes


• Effective communication with non-technical stakeholders about complex technical concepts to effectively define and prioritise the features, refine the scope, and collect the story requirements and acceptance criteria.


• Strong experience of backlog development and gathering feedback on the product in an agile environment, including gathering requirements from stakeholders and developing these into effective user stories, demonstrating delivered functionality and gathering feedback from stakeholders, and ensuring this feedback is incorporated into the product by developing the backlog further.


• Innovation is key within this programme and the role would suit someone that is able to continually assess and improve product processes within their teams, product areas, and on the wider programme to enhance the efficiency and quality of product development, agile practise and product strategy.


• Practised at managing their personal development as a Product Owner and keeping up to date with industry trends, agile methodology and improvement opportunities.


• Previous experience of mentoring and supporting other Product Owners and team members, enabling effective product knowledge transfer and onboarding of new team members


• Previous experience preferably as an ambassador and subject matter expert

Contract Details:

This is an inside IR35 contract role, offering competitive remuneration of approximately 550 per day via an Umbrella company.
