I am working with a leading multinational energy company based in Swindon that is looking for an experienced Senior SQL Operations Analyst to join as part of an MS SQL migration project.

You will be responsible for maintaining 24/7 operational readiness and resolving any critical database-related issues that occur outside of business hours. It is essential that you have an excellent understanding of SQL databases with prior experience working in an on-call support role.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-call outside of regular business to respond to incidents
• Be able to provide efficient resolution to SQL database issues
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks (backups, restores, updates)
• Plan and perform SQL database migrations
• Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to resolve database-related incidents
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase the efficiency of on-call support
• Maintain up-to-date documentation with on-call tasks/incidents

This will be an initial 12-month contract paying an attractive daily rate OUTSIDE IR35. This is a hybrid role and you will be required to go into the office in Swindon 2-3 days per week.
