Service Desk Analyst - Hybrid London - 6 months FTC Temp to Perm - 35,000 - 40,000

My client is looking to recruit an Service Desk Analyst to work hybrid between London and remote. This is a 6 months temporary to permanent position.

You will be responsible for helping users resolve technological issues. As a Service Desk Analyst, your duties include communicating with staff via email, phone and in-person, resolving IT equipment and software problems, analysing information systems' performance, and maintaining accurate service desk records

Required duties:

  • Act as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support
  • Respond to a broad range of service requests for support by providing information to fulfil requests or enable resolution
  • Identify and diagnose issues and problems
  • Monitor issues from start to resolution
  • Provide essential online security advice and support
  • Ensure service desk ticket resolution is provided in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the set-up and maintenance of IT assets (including the virtual server environment)
  • Installing service packs, security patches, upgrades and new software.
  • Administration of IT. monitoring software including inventory and audit processes
  • Assisting with the annual disaster recovery plan testing
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting and checking back-ups (cloud and local)
  • Ensuring that printers and photocopiers are serviced correctly and dealing with maintenance and issues as they arise
  • Maintaining the IT asset inventor

Essentials Skills .

  • Previous experience in Service desk/end-user support
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure, hardware & software including Windows operating systems & virtual assets
  • Experience with service desk tools, network monitoring & PC implementation software
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and assist with other tasks which fall within the remit of the IT and Operations team

Some out of hours and weekend work may be required at times.

This is a hybrid position with flexibility, onsite 2/3 times a week.
