Are you an accomplished Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering complex projects within technically challenging environments? We are currently seeking experienced Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to join a prestigious project involving Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) activities, focusing on Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs).


As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the full life cycle delivery of assigned project areas, reporting directly to the Site Delivery Lead. Your responsibilities will include providing direction and leadership for a team of Senior Project Managers and Managers, overseeing a diverse scope of Highways, Rail infrastructure, Civils, and Networks. Leading a matrix team, including collaboration with the supply chain and quality teams, you will ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement strategies for cost-effective and timely delivery of the project scope, adhering to high-quality standards.
Define work scopes, interfaces, and resource requirements within contracts or packages of work.
Secure necessary resources, ensuring the competence and adequacy of assigned personnel.
Formulate and execute effective execution strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, implementing project and PEP strategies within the designated contract or work package.
Drive the safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery of contract activities, monitoring and reporting progress to key stakeholders.
Proactively manage and resolve issues, identify risks, and facilitate their resolution.
Ensure adherence to schedule and delivery of the List of Deliverables (LOD).
Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and report progress to the Site Delivery Lead.
Review Contractors applications for payment and manage direct team effectively.
Foster continuous improvement principles, capture lessons learned, and ensure knowledge-sharing practices.
Interface with other programmes to adopt best practices and maintain effective working relationships within the project team.
Fulfill contractual requirements and ensure compliance with project principles, processes, and procedures.


Key Requirements:


Proven track record in delivering projects within complex and dynamic environments, ideally in the Nuclear Energy sector or a regulated industry.
Successful management experience in engineering design, EPCM projects, complex contracts, cost control, risk management, and change management.
Proficiency in Earned Value tools, commercial claims closure, and negotiations.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Robust project management, financial management, and change management abilities.
Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and advisors in large and complex construction projects.
Excellent presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills.
Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction, or related field.
Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and Project Management frameworks (APM, Prince 2).
Familiarity with EPR design and nuclear quality assurance practices.
Understanding of applying a graded approach to quality.
