Guidant Global is working with the UK's trusted Ministry of Defence partner, MBDA, who seeks a Skilled Electrical Wireman to carry out manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, following product certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, and allocated budgets and timescales to meet project objectives at the Bolton site.

What we're looking for:

• Formal technical engineering/ Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and Formal further education certificate to ONC or equivalent.
• Highly essential City & Guilds in Electrical Studies Parts 2 & 3 desirable.
• IPC 620 & Dynamic Cabling certified/ trained preferred.
• Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly and previous experience in the aerospace or defence industry would be desirable.
• Manual handling training and ESD training.
• Lifting and slinging (including overhead cranes) training.
• Medical requirements - No colour blindness - Health surveillance requirements - Colophony health surveillance.

What you'll get to do as a Skilled Electrical Wireman C&M:

• Demonstrated ability/willingness to certify own work according to company quality standards.
• Possess a versatile skill base to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
• Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools and measuring instruments associated with the role requirements.
• Cable rework and surface mount rework and check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
• Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality and maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Looming, crimping, braiding, soldering, wire cutting/preparation experience (*Essential)
• Carry out complex assembly, undertaking all work to safety requirements and agreed timescales.
