p>Software Engineers are required for 6 month+ contracts in South Manchester, these are full-time on-site positions.



C++ and/or Java development on Linux required. This is a software design & development role for Sonar Systems.



Essential Skills



  • C++ and/or Java development

  • Development on Linux, ideally RedHat.

  • AGILE development

  • JIRA, Git, Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of requirements capture & config management tools


Desirable



  • Unix development environments.

  • Containerisation, Kubernetes / Docker

  • Knowledge of Ansible roles/playbooks

  • Knowledge of Security hardening of Linux (selinux/STIG)

  • Knowledge of network programming experience

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Shell, Perl, Tcl)


Additional:



Due to the sensitive nature of the product all applicants must have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
