Redfish Infrastructure are partnering with a leading Principal Contractor delivering a major highway project in Yorkshire. We are seeking a Sub Agent / Senior Engineer with experience of new highway construction with significant earthworks and box culvert experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and reviewing safe systems of work
- Managing site engineering team and delegating tasks
- Programming and co-ordinating site activities
- Daily and weekly co-ordination of sub-contractors
- Ensuring compliance with safe systems of work
- Ensuring all works comply with highways and project specification and drawings
- Writing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans for works (ITP)
- Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with approved ITP
- Ensuring all activities on site are recorded through daily diaries and photographs
- Raising technical queries relating to the design
- Attend daily co-ordination and weekly planning meetings
- Deliver workforce briefings and inductions
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, Meng)
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering infrastructure projects in a site role
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS
- Other training such as work at height, IPAF, TWS, TWC, lifting appointed persons to be listed on CV.
- Experience in some or all: major earthworks, box culverts, formwork, reinforced concrete (FRC), associated temporary works.
