p>Are you a qualified Head of Finance seeking your next accounting assignment? If you are an experienced Accountant with a proven track record of exemplary leadership in a complex and frenetic setting, this assignment could be the ideal role for you.

Starting at short notice, this collaborative and deadline focussed client is eager to employ a temporary worker on a PAYE basis via our payroll for the next three to six months. Please note, it will not be possible to work on a self-employed/limited contractor basis.

As a senior team member, it is essential this role is filled with a candidate who can design and deliver the company's stretching finance strategy effectively and efficiently, whilst heading up a multifaceted finance function, in a Matrix organisation.

Please note you may be required to travel to London occasionally for senior management meetings.

Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start at short notice, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Head of Finance Responsibilities

  • Managing the finance function and coaching staff in best practice
  • Reporting to the SMT and board, budgeting and forecasting
  • Supporting the tendering process with sound financial analysis
  • Leading on the design and delivery of the financial strategy
  • Overseeing the company payroll and audit process

  • A qualified accountant with extensive experience leading a complex finance function
  • Excellent communication and proven people-management skills
  • Experience of strategic business planning
  • Exposure in a Matrix organisation that utilises a tendering process for projects
  • Financial management of a portfolio of projects
  • Systems savvy, with demonstrable implementation experience
  • Experience with Xero (desirable), as well as advanced MS Office skills

Our client is located near Didcot (OX11). There is onsite parking.
