Senior QA Analyst / Tester Test Manager

Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global brand who have a range of data driven products and services. We are recruiting for a QA/testing resource, that will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality of their software products. They will work closely with both internal and external teams to implement and execute best practice testing processes and frameworks, identifying and reporting bugs, and they will play a key role in ensuring that our web-based products meet the needs of our customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work with the internal project team and external supplier team to define and agree all testing plans across the project (user acceptance, regression, performance, data migration etc.).
• Analyse business requirement specifications/user stories/tasks/bugs and establish test coverage required whilst recognising associated risks.
• Produce and agree test estimates to assist in project planning.
• Utilise structured test processes to identify test conditions, design test cases, create test scripts and generate test suites.
• Implement and champion best practise testing processes and frameworks across both internal and external teams.
• Identify / generate test data required for test execution.
• Record and manage defects throughout their lifecycle.
• Create/maintain automated test suites for regression test packs.
• Provide regular progress, status, and risk reporting to the project team as required.
• Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Produce end user documentation where necessary.
• Walkthrough of successful testing on user stories with key stakeholders.
• Help to support our IS team with activities around performance and load testing.
• Data migration dress rehearsal testing and Go Live readiness testing.
• Involvement in a variety of other testing activities, including integration, security, compatibility, and accessibility.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Strong knowledge and experience of functional, stress, load, security, and performance testing.
• Full experience in automation tools.
• Familiar with Data Migration Testing.
• Experience with automated API testing tools: Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing automated API testing tools, such as Postman or JMeter, to test the functionality and performance of application programming interfaces (APIs).
• Proven experience in agile methodologies.
• Experience with user story mapping and acceptance criteria definition.
• Should be familiar with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline development.
• Proven experience of working on successful software development deliveries.
• Proven ability to work effectively across diverse teams (such as product, project, marketing, software development, testing etc.)

Desirable:

• Experience of Azure DevOps.
