Job Role Requirements And Experience
- Collaborate with events, editorial, design and marketing teams to understand their goals, requirements, and design preferences. Communicate design concepts and ideas clearly using wireframes, prototypes, user flows and other UX techniques
- Create visually captivating and user-friendly website designs that meet business objectives and align with industry best practices
- Create digital design assets using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (or other image processing programs)
- Knowledge of creating or contributing to design guides and systems
- Optimise existing user interface designs
- Ability to determine a good or bad typographic layout
- Write clean, well-documented HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to bring your designs to life. Experience in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript is essential
- Experience with Typescript, Sass, jQuery and VueJS High charts and HTML table layout for newsletters would be beneficial. Guidance and advice in these areas can be provided throughout projects working with both the UX and development teams
- Ensure that website designs are responsive and perform across various devices and screen sizes
- Have a good understanding of Web Accessibility & Usability requirements
- Experience of automation and deployment processes and version control (Grunt, Gulp, Git)
- Test interfaces for cross-browser compatibility with ability to debug CSS or JS in and outside of DevTools
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end interfaces to back-end platforms
- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS). Our publishing, lead generation and event platforms are all built using Drupal 9/10
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written English
