Job Description: The Validation Engineer role involves conducting testing on validation test beds for engine components, ensuring process excellence, and maintaining engineering best practices. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to communicate technical information and support engineering efforts. The engineer will also be responsible for creating detailed test plans and analyzing results. Hands-on experience with engine testing and validation systems is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed test planning, execution of testing activities, analysis of results, and documentation with clear recommendations for the relevant process partners.
- Carry out complex engine validation tests.
- Evaluate products and processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas.
- Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies.
- Communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders.
- Support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, dealers, customers, and suppliers; develop and maintain keen understanding of internal and external customers’ needs.
Skills Required:
- Experience in validation of engines and engine systems.
- Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment, and test data logging systems.
- Hands-on engine testing and problem-solving experience.
Salary (Rate): £30/hour
