p>Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation based in the Northwest who are looking to recruit a Year End Accountant. The role will be for an initial 6-month period and will be paying 200 - 300 per day dependent on experience.
Duties:
- To manage the financial accounting processes, including reporting, asset management and treasury
- Responsible for technical and year end accounts
- Develop cash flow reporting and variance analysis, co-ordinating information from Financial Management, Income and Capital Finance Teams to inform the cash flow forecasts
- Provide VAT advice to other Finance Departments and responsible for the VAT returns
- Responsible for capital accounting, balance sheet management and charitable funds
- Responsible for the management of two accountants developing and mentoring through the year end process
- Liaising with external auditors, regarding statutory accounting issues
Person:
- Strong with systems - including MS Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior management
